Followership

The main lessons about followership in this video clip is that the only way you get to become a leader, is if someone follows you behind because that's the only way that person "becomes" a leader.

I actually have been a "lone nut" who adopts a new behavior. I have a friend group and among my friends, I notice one of them follows what I say, or do. So i decided to come up with this "dance move" where I'm basically shaking my thighs so it's just jiggling. It sounds super crazy and dumb but I wanted to test out my theory and bam, that friend followed what I did. Pretty soon, other people were joining in with us and everyone basically just started shaking their thighs!

I don't agree how followers influence each other and, thus are leaders because I feel like the followers aid the leaders into doing whatever their doing. The leaders are the ones that have idea, and the followers are the ones who support them and continues to pass that idea.

Stiver's assertion that leadership is over glorified is a true statement in my opinion. Within leadership, you do have your leaders and followers because if a leader didn't have his followers, he would be nothing.
