Language

I feel like the scenarios in this video portray a good example of what actual same-sex parents face these days. A lot of people are still bashed for being gay, and aren't welcomed and there are a lot of bystanders that either voice their opinion, or hide away.
The video illustrates the power of language by having bystanders speak up for the same sex parents and voicing their opinions towards the waitress. The power of silence is shown by customers that watch the scene, but keep quiet to themselves.
The video illustrates convergence by displaying customers that did agree with the waitress, while it shows divergence by having patrons going against her idea of same sex parents.
Yes, I have heard similar statements-through videos of people standing up for others, but not in person.
I would've said something to the waitress because it's 2017, and if someone bashes another couple for being gay, then it would just irritate me to the point where I would speak up for them and voice my opinion.
